GI_Forum 2010 - Topics and Applications

 

GI_Forum 2010 gives authors choices about the type of submission they want to make in order to accommodate a variety of interdisciplinary contributions.

 

We solicit contributions on emerging topics and research outcomes related to Geoinformatics methodology. These topics range from geospatial data acquisition and GI-techniques, advanced spatial analysis and knowledge extraction, advanced geovisualization and cartography to geo-ontologies, standards and spatial data infrastructure, distributed and mobile services, and dynamic modelling and simulation. Application fields comprise natural resources, the environment and sustainable management of various resources, as well as global monitoring, security and emergency management.

 

GI_Forum 2010 especially wishes to attract submissions pertaining to the following  themes:

  • Advances in Geovisualisation and Cartography
  • Spatial Data Infrastructure
  • Mobile GIS and Location Based Services
  • Digital Terrain Representation and Analysis
  • Digital Cities and urban Sustainibility
  • Global Change: Monitoring and Modelling
  • Learning with Geoinformation


The deadline for submission of full papers for oral presenation and publication is on Feb. 1, 2010.
